I'm just excited to see the box office first week for the American release. They are NOT happy and the impatience is reaching fever pitch in some corners of the internet. More worldwide releases with America waiting could be fun in the future... Seems to be working well here.

Far better than I thought it would be. A great, fun film. Even got a bit of heart and conflict in there too.

Can't wait to re-watch it first chance I get.

Really enjoyed Avengers. I thought the effects were some of the best I've seen and the characters were all handled well. Roll on the second one!

saw it today, went for 2D as recommended by empire podcast. superb film, brilliantly made, action and humour in equal mix (spoiler? check out the very very funny scene betweeen Hulk and Loki near the end, as funny as any seen in any comedy film) great effects, balanced screen time for all the characters- Wheedon will finally get the status he deserves! 10/10

It's very few films that break the big "Bill" at the box office.
I think (and hope) this does. It certainly has the come back factor and the fan base to do so. All praises to Joss Whedon and his team for making a cracking, fun piece of cinema. I will be watching it more than once in the cinema for sure!

To be honest, it's not that shocking to me, that The Avengers did epicly across the globe. I think it was marketed and hyped up brilliantly. seriously, the clips, the competitions, the merch... from an avid Tweeter I can safely say that my Twitter feed has been cluttered with 'Avengers talk' for the past month. and not all of it from me...

I also went to the London premiere, where each Avenger entered the stage individually, the pyrotechnics went crazy, the music boomed and the crowd went wild. if the actors weren't playing superheroes, they could easily have settled for rockstars. By the day of release, I had complete faith in the movie, and all these stats are merely 'duh' factors to my life.

The movie itself was a rollercoaster. I recommend everyone seeing it, regardless of your interest in superheroes, comics, or the fantastical element. I'm watching all the stats like a proud mother. I hope it exceeds a billion, it definitely deserves it <3
