Oh and one more thing - on the featurette http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwExjfhE2io  - go to the 2.14 mark.

What the heck is that? Has Cameron being doing close up CGI humans as well?

Thats the one. Something is off with the picture. Either some of those are CGI faces or they are real and the backdrop makes them look fake.

That chap's face on the left looks a bit off like they've CGI'd his face on a body but not aligned it correctly. Weren't there rumours that that dude with the scar on his face will be fully CGI in at least one scene?

Oh yeah. Does look a tad bulbous doesn't it. Reminds me a bit of the way the faces were inside the helmets in the Tron Legacy test reel teaser.

On a positive note though, their blocky, pixelated looking camouflage is damn cool.

Do you think that's to help them blend in with the computer generated landscape ROFLMAO etc..

Also, doesn't the guy closest to us look exceedingly like Jake Gyllenhaal (sp)?

This has already been hyped more than the second coming of Christ.

Shameless product tie in, yes! But this Coke Zero ad has some cool new shots and one FUCKING amazing one! The feeling of force and kinetic energy in the 3 second snippet of that Thantor chase scene is just brilliant!

He never went away. He lives in all of our heats on a daily basis apparently… At least that’s what the whack job with the shabby suit and the piercing evil glare said (well, screamed) outside the Morrison’s in Wood Green. He was forcibly removed by two members of the local constabulary shortly after… good fucking riddance! Have I veered off topic again? Perhaps Christ could be ‘Mo Caped’ for a High Def IMAX 3D fully immersive Pope certified and Vatican approved comeback extravaganza. Jim ‘The Conductor’ Caviezel could don the dots and spandex to reprise his role! Look at the posthumous Jackson box office numbers. Christ Vs Jacko…mmmmm, £25 on Christ! What were we talking about again…

A sound stance.

Can’t be arsed with game tie-ins. Used to love gaming but just struggle to find the time these days so will probably give it a miss. No reflection on the product itself, merely my reluctance to make time or it.

Yes but one that would pretty much make this part of the forum redundant.

Bitching about movies you've not seen yet is most of the fun!

Thanks for posting that, pete.

Is that a taste of the soundtrack, too? If so, sounds brilliant.

No worries. I think it might be but if you head over to http://www.avatarmovie.com/ I’m pretty sure the music there is from the film. Took a while but it really did grow on me and should hopefully lend a good layer of authenticity to Pandora, with the use of the native language in the choral parts.

Anyone see A Christmas Carol this weekend? If so, did it have the new Avatar trailer in 3D attached to it?

I love the voiceover on this 3rd TV spot. Makes it sound like a Disney film!

This is the ad that’s aimed at the younger audience. I believe it’s being aired on Cartoon Network and things like that. While I find that voice and music utterly horrible, I would be totally mesmerised by the whole package if I were a kid watching cartoons on a Saturday morning. Should get quite a few kids in this one. Funnily enough mind, isn’t this the only ad so far to make reference to the advanced 3D it has been filmed for? Adults like that stuff too right?

This part of the forum is for discussing future films. 'Judgement' can be found in the reviews section of the forum. We can bitch about what little snippets we've seen sure but judgement would imply a final informed opinion from someone in possession of all the facts. A review if you will…

We'll always have out little plot here to bitch and moan (which indeed can be fun) but those waiting to reserve total judgement can write a review when they've seen the film. Not sure how that would make this section redundant.

Hope this is the right place to put thing like this, I'm sure someone will tell me if not!

Robert Legato (Academy Award winning Visual Effects Director of “Titanic”, and upcoming “Avatar”) will be on Kevin Pollak's Chat Show (he of Usual Suspects and A Few Good Men fame) on Sunday November 22nd 2009.
Chat show is free and streams live @ 5pm PDT in the US and is also available to view at kevinpollakschatshow.com and the KPCS You Tube Channel KPO345. Also available for download from iTunes.

I am just a fan of the show and wanted to make anyone out there aware of it. Runs for apprx. 2hrs and has no ads or censorship as it is online.
Previous shows are archived and available on iTunes with lots of guests from the film world from actors to directors and screenwriters;
Brian Tyler, Jane Campion, Samm Levine, Mike Binder, Kevin Smith, Nia Vardalos, George Gallo, Chris Mallik, Christopher McQuarrie, Eddie Izzard etc, etc…

Very relaxed, informative and extremely entertaining.
Check it out and give him your support!
