My girlfriend and I saw this at a preview at Bristol Vue and loved it. Okay, it's not high art, but it does everything it sets out to do and with plenty of imagination and attention to detail. The fight and car chase scenes are great, with plenty of invention - I particularly liked the use of plates and rear view mirrors. Jason Statham is as watchable as ever and it's great to see James Hong again. There was a great audience reaction in our cinema as well, with lots of audible winces at all the right moments, especially one shot that received a combined "Ooh..." from every male member of the audience. There was also some applause at the "pay-off" referred to in Kim Newman's review, which worked brilliantly. Easily 4 out of 5.

One question though (SPOILER ALERT) - is it implied that the young Triad could actually be Mei's father (the one that ran out on the family years ago), or am I just imagining things?
