Recently after a conversation with my best mate's boyfriend, who is a Muse fan of epic proportions, I was digging through my CD collection (that's right, some of us still listen to CDs!! ) for my copy of Hullabaloo and I came across the self-titled Stone Sour album. I stuck it on out of mild curiosity for whether or not I'd enjoy them as much as I did when I was a teenager, I went through the whole Slipknot phase (although to be honest Iowa is the only album I really, really like. I downloaded All Hope Is Gone and was unimpressed) as a teenager but it was Stone Sour I really liked, right from 'Get Inside' but as music tastes so often change with age I just kind of forgot them but am now picking up with them again and really like Audio Secrecy which I've just got.... Anyway the post wasn't really meant to be about Stone Sour, it was more about Corey Taylor as from listening to them it has led me to check out more of his acoustic sets and interviews, and I've just ordered his book 'Seven Deadly Sins'. I really like Taylor and his audience interaction, not too mention the fact he's a fantastic musician and vocalist, he's also a very funny guy and from what I understand the book really pays tribute to this. Go on youtube and watch his piece on stage during a gig about Justin Bieber, it's now what you expect and very funny, I know he's been through some life-changing experiences of late and is slowly moving away from the hardcore heavy metal aspects of his earlier work and I'm enjoying what I'm hearing so far. I hope they tour the UK again soon as I would love to see them live. Any other fans out there?
