27. The Main Theme from Re-Animator

It's a brave move taking one of the most famous and iconic pieces of film music and using it as the inspiration for your own piece of music, but Richard Band's homage to Bernard Herrmann's classic Psycho theme is a perfect fit for this deliriously great horror comedy.

SPOILERS FOR MICHAEL CLAYTON

28. The Assassination in Michael Clayton
I only remembered this scene the other day when I was watching John Adams (bloody brilliant so far) and was particularly impressed by Tom Wilkinson's turn as Benjamin Franklin. I started thinking of other Wilkinson films and then I remembered Michael Clayton. Or rather I remembered this scene from Michael Clayton. I'm a sucker for tracking shots and while this one isn't particularly long nor a "How'd they do that" moment the on screen actions make it more than worthwhile. As hits go in the movies, this must be one of the most clinical and calculating and it makes it all the more effective. The lack of music helps, just the sounds of the murder. It's a brilliant two minutes and the highlight of the film.

I'd completely forgotten about that bit of the film.

Good choice though.

No - the unconscioniable evil little shit of the Looney Toons world is Tweety.

Both bad, neither as bad as Bugs.

I never liked Jerry that much, I always wanted Tom to get him!

At this rate I may finish sometime in the next decade!

29. The hat scene from For A Few Dollars More

The second film in Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy is also the second best. It might suffer from the fact Klaus Kinski appears in it but it's a great improvement on A Fistful Of Dollars. This scene is one of the best of the whole trilogy, the first meeting between Clint's The Man With No Name and Lee Van Cleef's Colonel Mortimer, two bounty hunter who weigh each other up in this playful little moment. What I really love is the sound effects and the screeching echo of each bullet.

The only thing that appeals to me about the trilogy is Ennio Morricone's marvellous music.

I have to agree. The music is by far the best thing about those films.

I've never understood why so many people seem to go into transports of ecstasy over them. Same applies to Once Upon A Time In The West.

30. The greatest percussion solo in history.

If anyone guesses what this scene is before they click the link, I'll give them a prize.

Of course I didn't guess, but that was just great. Not my favourite Tom and Jerry - that's Johann Mouse - but nonetheless fun, fun, fun.

Tom and Jerry hardly put a foot wrong in their first 100 or so cartoons, but Quiet Please has always been my favourite. That scene cracks me up. Johann Mouse is great too. Expect more T&J to come.

I think my favourite T&J is Mouse Trouble, but that might be because it was the first one I saw. They're all so good!

31. The Spaghetti Western Orchestra

A quintet of Australian musicians, who, as the name suggests, play music from spaghetti westerns. Their stage show is great fun and should be seen by anyone who's a fan of Ennio Morricone's classic music.
