I'm shocked that David Niven didn't get a mention. ;)

I just want to be sure I'm not going blind or mad, but there seems to be a lack of a crossword this month... slightly disappointed.

they made reference to the lack of crossword in the contents.. a few other things were missing too this month like the box office roundup! guess bond took up too much room!

Yes - he's like Sid James meets Dumbo; but a fine actor and ideally suited to what Fleming describes; if the rumours are true about long-needed humour, then, like Goldfinger & The Spy Who Loved Me before it, the third time may be the charm.

Two quick additions;

1) William Boyd will only say that his new Bond novel is set in
1969, so it is hardly a giant leap to suggest that the Moon
could be involved.

2) Have read the comments of the person who allegedly saw
the Bond trailer; it may indeed be a fantasist, but the
description sounds/feels/imagines exactly right, and
suggests; 'A Casino of Solace'.

DC's a great Bond and all that but who's idea was it to give him a 1920's haircut with a side parting?! That does him no favours at all. He looks like the FA Cup.

In response to David Niven, I doubt he would be mentioned anyway as 50 yrs of Bond is for the 'official' EON films .... didnt it start as an american tv episode with 'jimmy bond?'

Short hair-cut.

Tell you what though, he's the first Bond who actually looks like he could beat the living shit out of you.

When you double post our comments, it would be great to have a 'delete comment' option instead of just 'edit'.

Thanks
