What is it with DC Marvel brings out Avengers, X-Men , Spider-Man etc & what do DC reply with J.L.A, Flash,Legion Of Superheroes or Preacher? NO apart from Batman, Superman & (Green Lantern?) bloody Jonah Hex & now Lobo yes possibly the toughest Bastich in all the Galaxys but not really box-office blockbuster material.

Much as I like Marvel...
DC FOR THE WIN!!! A shame Green Lantern felt like copying Marvel's film style (it was not as bad as the critics made out- I enjoyed it- but it didn't stand out in an already superhero heavy summer...and alongside the wonderful 'THOR'). DC should stick to what they're best at. Taking the whole mythos SERIOUSLY. No Iron-Man style jokes, no 'cool for the sake of cool' moments, rock guitar or slow-mo (well, maybe a little slow- mo). The Dark Knight was PERFECT. Give us The Man Of Steel, The Amazon Warrior (sounds better than 'princess'), The Emerald Knight, Fastest Man Alive (ok, now they're starting to sound REALLY silly...but you catch my drift). And for those who say Marvel s WAY better than DC: say whaaaaaaaat?

LOBO could really only be done justice with an R rating and a motion capture job done on whoever ends up playing him. The Rock is a stupid choice, you want someone a little rougher, Mickey Rourke maybe. Hell idris Elba would be a cool choice, as would the guy who was in blood diamond, can't remember his name, but he was rumoured to be playing Kratos in a God of War movie a few years back.

... who the f*ck is Lobo? Can't see this getting a Dark Knight budget for a character that's not well known outside of comic circles. That means the mocap thing is probably not affordable but the 'virtual set/green screen' thing would be viable, which Peyton can do. If it were Marvel, it would be on the 'Marvel Knights' imprint, surely? Maybe DC need to start a similar thing? Lower budget fare aimed at the core audience.
