Did I hear Loki say "Quimm"????

Oh yeah. He went there.

Reminded me of the Bo Selecta version of Marilyn Manson who also had a fondness for quims.

"ONE" of the best things about the movie, no Paul Greengrass/Michael Bay style quick cut, shaky, blurry camera work. You got to see exactly what was going on in glorious wide shots. Overall, EPIC!

Fantastic movie, and the best summer blockbuster type since The Dark Knight. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen at all, the characters were brilliantly done, everyone got a chance to shine. The action scenes were great, whether it was the heroes fighting eachother or them teaming together to fight the 'army' at the end. Loki was a very good villain and came off much better then he did in Thor. It was full of laugh out loud moments and never a dull spot in sight. Extremely entertaining, funny and overall just a brilliant super hero/comic book film and probably my favourite after TDK, definitely the most enjoyable. I'm so glad it lived up to the hype and was better than all the supporting films rolled into one. Awesome.

Avengers somehow is able to not just meet the fans requirements but excel them. It is quite easily the best Marvel film so far which is quite a shock considering it's the hardest to do. Joss Whedon manages to provide us with a serious film with plenty of action and well written character, their interaction is almost the highlight of the film. The main highlight were the jokes, i have not walked out of a cinema with my mouth so sore from smiling and laughing until now. For me the best films are the ones with well written characters actions galore and jokes shooting left right and centre. This a film that really doesn't diapoint, Joss Whedon I salute you!

Not a fan of many superhero films but thought this was great. Although the middle act was a bit slow for me the last act more than made up for this - mainly thanks to the Hulk! Not even a baby crying throughout the screening could dampen my enjoyment, can't wait to see again

I think I was at the same screening as you, as I distinctly recall a baby crying in mine as well.

Seriously, who brings along a baby to a 12?

Yep, a baby cryed in my performance too. At the Vue Westfield Shepherds Bush, I was really angry and took out from the film.

LOVED every secound of this. So enjoyable, bought the fun back to the blockbuster, like Indiana Jones and Back To The Future have in spades.

Also a cameo from Harry Dean Stanton!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god!! I loved this guy in Alien and Paris Texas. I didnt think he was dead but forgotton he was alive. Such a cool dude.

Bought the fun back to the summer blockbuster. Christopher Nolan and Micheal Bay should take note

This film is a lot of fun. That seems to be the simplest way of putting it. It's ridiculously loud, possibly too long for some folks, and quite niche considering its mainstream marketing, but it's a LOT of fun.
Plenty of humour, plenty of action. The spectacle of Avengers Assemble is what cinema was invented for. You need to see this.

Having been a fan of Buffy in my teenage years and later on the excellent Firefly series, I was eager to see how Whedon's ability to turn cinematic cliches into hilarious or shocking twists would blend together with sharp actors like Robert Downey Jnr and Tom Hiddleston.

I am glad to say the film was everything I expected. Whedon managed to blend a fantastic array of good actors with a cohesive, balanced script, and even managed to improve on the original characters by some large margin. Gone were the barely intelligible babble scenes from the previous Iron Man films, replaced by funny witty one liners or clear authoritative statements. The weak and slightly lost character of Captain America becomes far more likeable and dynamic. Bruce Banner becomes more than just a raging green monster- he is also a great scientist, something brushed over in previous incarnations of the Hulk.

The artistic direction of the film was fantastic also. All the characters, effects, and various CGI spaceships were done beautifully, with my only reservation being that they became a little too fantastic at times. I found myself being far more interested by small scenes of someone running own a street in slow mo than in the endless shooting/ exploding and falling.

Overall an excellent film, and probably the best in the Marvel Franchise so far. I hope and pray that Whedon takes up the mantle of doing another comic book adaptation in the future: he was made for it.
