In every single case, the originals are best! You will never beat an original movie poster. Period.

Regarding the Star Wars - A New Hope poster, and saying it loses marks for not including Darth Vader â€¦ Empire has got it wrong, but also answered the criticism in the next selection. The A New Hope poster was one of three done for the Special Editions, and the idea was that when all three were placed side by side, they would form one large image, hence Vaders 'large bonce' on the Empire Strikes Back poster. So technically, the A New Hope poster shouldn't lose any marks for not having Vader on it, as it was meant as the left hand side of three posters that made up on image.

With the exception of Gone With The Wind, I felt the original posters were much better, even Raiders Of The Lost Ark (but I was out voted on that one...)
I think what puts me off that new 2nd Raiders poster is the smile on Indy's face... otherwise it would be as good as the original.
