I rather enjoyed the first film and the unrestrained madness Aja brought to the proceedings. It's a hateful, gleefully demented film, and tons of fun.

I have no faith in the sequel though. I suspect the concept will feel strained and tired, and without Aja there to unleash the gore, I doubt it will have that same madcap energy that made the first such a delight.

In total agreement with this. I thought 3D was great fun, stupid beyond belief, but great fun.
