Saw this British classic for the umpteenth time this morning (WHY BBC2 decided to put it on at such a late time's a mystery to me though?) This ranks alongside the Italian Job as my all time favorite British film I don't know if it's the sense of innocence about it or it's just the feelgood feeling of Bill Forsyth's early work which carried on into Local Hero & Comfort And Joy it's just that every time I see it I seem to be taken away to a time where everything was more simple & not all about sex, violence, swearing & big budgets. Just good honest film making as the saying says "THEY DON'T MAKE EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE!" 10/10
