They actually allowed Top Gear to keep their action sequence in the trailer, just goes to show on how pointless the director is...the trailer looks abysmal

hi were the makers of the sweeney film adaptation, as you can see from this trailer we missed the point entirely and decided to make a danny dyer film without danny dyer but with extra plan b.

It is clear this film is not made for the over 70's market (the people who would've watched The Sweeney when it was first on TV) but for a younger market.

Yes the film doesn't look like any eyebrow-raising-kitchen sink drama-arthouse-wannabe movie. It just looks like a bit of fun! That is very clear from the cheeky swagger of the trailer.

Oh, the Top Gear bit? It was clear that it was an advert for the movie. Who better than Cameron's best buddy Clarkson to promote the fact product placement can be shoved into every show now? Don't be so naive!

... that suggests that this movie is even trying to be better than the original TV series. A task that was near-impossible anyway.

What they seem to have done is taken the name of a British TV institution and stuck it on the front of yet another Brit Gangster piece of garbage.

And as for Ray Winstone? Does no-one else think that this one-trick pony is the most over-rated British actor (a term I use loosely) of our time?

In summary, pointless utter garbage. Thanks for trying.
