Possibly the worst movie ever made, after Avatar.

Worst films ever made? Really? As much as you may not like either of them, there's simply no way you can justify that.

I went to the Valentines Day preview showing and the 3D really is better than some films that I've seen that were actually SHOT in 3D! I don't see why Empire has put Titanic as 5 Stars and Titanic 3D as 4 Stars, how would it be possible that the same film can go down in stars?

As ever, the 3D conversion makes it feel like you're watching the movie wearing shades. Far better in vibrant 2D.

Ooh. Branding the two biggest box office hits of all time the two worst films ever made (in order of gross, too). Mr Controversy, you!

Dying.

As for the film it is a big old fashioned romantic epic with all that entails. The final hour though is classic Cameron - a genuinely thrilling action set piece with moments of drama and awe.

A fine example of big Hollywood melodrama.

While it's far from the worst film of all time it certainly is the film I hate the most,. Maybe Empire realised like the SW prequels that 5 stars was far to rewarding for such a load cheesy nonsense with god awful acting in it. Saying someone who doesn't like Titanic is inadequate in bed is a little childish, I'm sure you'd say that to his face, the internet has just created very rude people who would no way be so brazen in person.

The story and film were one of the worst I had seen in 1998 and it definetly hasn't aged with grace. The 3D is shoddy as are the effects (very poor for that year) if they wanted to improve this in any way perhaps they should have got the Rock in to be the iceberg. Would definetly be worth paying the IMAX ticket price then!!

I hated Titanic when I first saw it, and while it is a long way from being a great film, I've mellowed towards it a bit over the years. It's still horridly long, bloated, with paper-thin stock characters and some surprisingly stilted acting, but as a spectacle it's still pretty impressive (particularly the last hour or so). And I'd much rather watch Titanic than Avatar.

Having said that, I won't be watching it in 3D. Aside from the fact that I don't like the medium, a 3-and-a-quarter hour run-time is just too long for me in a cinema these days.

I remember they were drilling in the road right outside the cinema when I first saw it - that sound was the only thing making it bearable to stay inside.

Housewives' favourite. If there's anything that rubber stamps how shit a movie is, it's that.

I've never seen it before, but both of my parents hate it a LOT. If Empire gave it 4 stars then I think it's worth getting at a SEVERELY reduced price. The only thing the my parents and I agree on is that a) the special effects were brilliant and b) the song featured in it is actually not bad if you take away Celiene Dion's annoyingly whiney voice.
