I share matty's confusion. You state that you've only seen her in X-Men and House at the End of the Street. They aren't the performances she won awards, acclaim and praise for.

Both of those films are examples of her delivering decent performances in a good film and a piss poor one. She's far better in Winter's Bone, Silver Linings Playbook and even The Hunger Games. She also gives good showing in smaller roles in The Beaver and Like Crazy you should try to track down an early film called The Poker House. It's not the greatest film - all a bit over thr top grimness but again she's great in it.


Hmm,I try to seek them out.
But if i'm not impressed,well...
