Well, she's very pretty, isn't she?

I liked her performance in Winter's Bone. Unfortunately, the movie didn't do much for me.

We was excellent in the excellent X-Men: First Class, bringing a depth to Mystique that wasn't there when portrayed by the supermodel one.

Rebecca Romijn looked the part though. Jennifer Lawrence's face is too round for Mystique, it looked weird at times.

When i saw X Men First Class, it was after having watched all the X movies that week (And i was under the impression it was a prequel) and i also thought her round face looked a little odd for young Mystique.

I did like her overall though, havnt seen any of her other work but may check out Hunger Games when it hits dvd.

Surprised there's no thread for her already. A very talented young woman and with The Hunger Games going ballistic sure to be A List very soon.

She's brilliant in Winter's Bone and the aforementioned HG. She's always very watchable and makes an impression in smaller roles in films like X Men, The Beaver and Like Crazy.

Looking forward to what she does next.

True story - I actually once shot a short film in that very room she's sitting in.

Another true story - it was also pish.

I actaully thought her performance in X-Men : First Class was rather weak.

Yup: she was completely miscast based on looks. Fantastic and beautiful actress but she doesn't have that seductive look required of Mystique. She was brilliant in Hunger Games though, essentially made the film for me.

Have WB at home to wach this weekend.

Such a shame the dress resulted in her falling flat on her face in front of the press. At least the Oscar helped salve that one. It was nice to see Hugh Jackman sprint up to help her up.

Well deserved indeed, her charming performance in the film is so key to the viewer caring about the Bradley Cooper character.

I quite like the way appears quite star struck about a lot of the people there (such as when sleazy Nicholson tried a line on her).

She's pretty adorable, she comes across as very grounded and sweet. Her 'Hugh Jackman' dance is awsome.

Justin Robert Young in the Morning Stream podcast said the difference between Lawrence and Kristen Stewart is that Jennifer seems like the kind that would share her weed with you while K-Stew would smoke yours.....

I would rather she didn't smoke weed but yeah I get where he's coming from. This story from her X-Men First Class co-star Zoe Kravitz is quite funny http://d22zlbw5ff7yk5.cloudfront.net/images/cm-42260-150e2c53646b29.jpeg

You don't actually have to post anymore, Cool Breeze, we'll just imagine slights on X-Men First Class/Daniel Craig/etc and throw in random big ups of the Star Wars prequels shoehorned into any and every thread possible.

No thats ok, Rhubarb, i will continue to post my own personal opinions and not give a toss whenever people like you make childish insults when it contradicts your own.But thanks for the feedback.

So anyway, Jennifer Lawrence, she seems nice.

When did I say anything I said contradicted what I think? I was just mentioning that you know...you do have about 4 topics that you like to speak about and its all a bit one note. When I read your post I literally thought "of COURSE he's thrown it back to X-Men!"

You forgot to mention 3D, Cool Breeze HATES 3D and has let everyone know it all the time, every time

Just as much as you bang on about blu ray and 3D DK!

As for Jennifer Lawrence, iv only seen her in First Class and so obviously my comments are going to be regarding her in that film.Might check out some of her other work though.Does she often trip and fall over in her movies?

Having seen Jennifer Lawrence in X-MEN:First Class and House at the End of the Street I am yet to be won over by her performances.
I think she's good but as usual the hype usually bypass's the performances with some actors.

Because they're in no way, shape or form representative of her best work.

I can only go by what I see,no?

And if she cant impress me that much with a role she won an Award in and got constant praise then what do I judge her by.
If I dont rate someone ,then I just dont rate them.Simples.

Both of those films are examples of her delivering decent performances in a good film and a piss poor one. She's far better in Winter's Bone, Silver Linings Playbook and even The Hunger Games. She also gives good showing in smaller roles in The Beaver and Like Crazy you should try to track down an early film called The Poker House. It's not the greatest film - all a bit over thr top grimness but again she's great in it.
