I don't know, it'll never surpass the original but it might be alright. I certainly hope so. I don't like that the trailer pretty much just shows that entire first scene though.

Actually surprised at how good the trailer is.

Did anyone else get a "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" vibe off the whole look and feel of the film?

Really well put-together trailer - some nifty editing, almost like a remix...

Looks distinctly lacking in three-breasted women, conjoined mind-reading babies and ultra-violence. On the up side it doesn't look like a carbon copy. On the downside, it does look a lot like many other more recent films.

I thought the whole point of this movie was to be faithful to "We'll Remember It For You Wholesale." This is just a remake of what was, let's be honest, a fairly dodgy Arnie movie (which we all enjoy ironically or as a guilty pleasure) which strayed very far from the source material.

I am disappointed by the trailer, looks quite poor despite the presence of the superb Cranston.

But not brilliant. But I think the overall look of the thing looks as if someone's been playing Mass Effect a bit too much...

Looks like a blend of styles and stunts from other sci-fi films.
But it does look good.
I'll be there when it opens..

Fuck this shit.Total Recall is a classic Arnie gorefest.Colin Farrel is crap and this is probably going to be PG-13.

This is only the start of hollywood remaking classic Paul Verhoeven films with Starship Troopers and Robocop up next.Boycott this shit! Its the only way to convince them to make you know, original films!

Seriously all the people moaning about lack of three breasted women, why would they put everything in the trailer. I found this amazing tool called Google and I looked up total recall and look what I found:

Nice camera work from 1 min 5secs.

they still let Len Wiseman make movies, this just shows the closed elitist culture of hollywood, its good technology these days liberates the medium in Monster, District 9 etc. And to add insult to injury he puts his wife in every movie, hes gonna butcher a good book like he did Die Hard series

And this is probably going to be PG-13.

Its certificate is the least important aspect in the grand scheme of things. PG-13 doesn't necessarily equal shit.

Nice to see you're keeping an open mind about a film that hasn't opened yet.

The actual trailer is not cut together very well. The film, against all odds, actually looks pretty intriguing. Farrell is just as incredible as I'd suspected he would be, and the look of the film feels fresh and exciting. The trailer's construction doesn't live up to the footage. I know it's a Len Wiseman movie so I have no reason to hope for the best, but I've long wanted to see Farrell tackle something like this, and for his sake I am pulling for the film to be a rousing success.

PS Obviously the entire existence of this movie is pointless, unless they really are going in a substantially different direction than the Verhoeven original, but this sort of intellectual cannibalism seems par for the course in today's Hollywood, and complaining about it increasingly seems to amount to screaming into the wind.

The trailer would make no sense if I didn't know the original, that is the problem. Besides leaving Mars out it looks exactly the same.
