 Thank you Empire. However, your diagram doesn't get across how dangerous it is to go that deep. I hear that the pressure on every sqaure inch is the equivalent of turning the Eiffel Tower upside down and putting the point on your big toe.

Surely Home Tree in Avatar was higher than 150m. Tallest trees on earth reach 100m and Home Tree was depicted like a towering city.

My man maths says that there is 16,139lbs per square inch at 11000m and the metal part of the Eiffel Tower is very roughly about 16,100,000lbs. So, not quite.

That's what our research came up with. It's still half as tall again as the world's tallest redwood, so that ain't bad - and obviously it's much more massive.

The scale of the boat is too big, as is James little sub. and thus i have added to the ridiculous comments on this page. plus the fish are way too big, the whale is about right though, which is nice.
