I purchased this 1/4th scale replica of a Tyrannosaurus Rex skull:



(the light is purple because of my Philips HUE system)

Here is what it looks like under normal light (taken from the product photo):



I keep it atop an Italian book shelf, an inch or two above eye level. The skull is a scale model, but all the same if it belonged to a real dinosuar, it would be a big enough animal to bite you dead. Instinctively in your mind the skull of the largest land predator of all time, at this size and scale and elevated placement in the room makes it an intimidating conversation piece that commands respect.
