This feautre reeks of attempting to garner some interest for JCoM which many fear will flop badly.

These are the most broad inclusions that basically feature in every single Sci fi book/comic/film!!!

Beasties, tribes x2, creatures and eco system could be all one section (maybe 2 at a stretch) and are in 90% of all sci-fi.

It also reaks of giving John Carter some factual background...Instead of 10 year olds crying about how it copies Avatar, Empire is merely pointing out that John Carter as a character has been around for 100 years (yes since 1912) and has ALL the things that modern sci-fi has. If Empire didn't talk about the movies currently released, it would be a pretty crappy site.

"Alien Interloper With Power To Change/Save Planet". That should be a yes for Dune. Paul Atreides was not native to Dune which makes him an Alien Interloper and He had powers that helped him to change the planet.
