Halo 4 was always going to be a game I'd be picking up, but I wasn't really following it pre-launch and had no real excitement or anticipation built up... But damn it was a fine game! I initially started playing through on Legendary until Mission 3, then developed a hatred for the Knights. So for my own sanity and the well being of those around me, I dropped to Heroic. It's actually quite a drop in difficulty and fairly straight forward other than a few parts (still died a lot), but I will venture back to Legendary now I've finished the campaign and have developed more ways of approaching the different enemy types. I thought the campaign was superb, it wasn't the longest; but some Halos previously did like to pad out the length of a campaign, and I felt this only had a couple of sections where it felt this was the case... I really enjoyed the story. It could of been badly handled, as on paper it definitely wouldn't of been guaranteed to work so well. Graphically this game is top draw, some of the best on the 360 at times, and the audio is also great in terms of sound effects... did feel the music lacked compared to some of the previous, but still some nice build up at certain moments. I also find the AI quite a fun fight (other than on legendary solo ), and it was this time... I'm kind of grateful they don't often explore behind rocks too often when you're health is recharging though. Got to love the Kamikaze Grunts as well! WIth 3 and Reach I played through on co-op, so didn't get sucked in, in quite the same way as I did with the campaign on this. So for me, this is probably the most I've enjoyed a Halo campaign story wise, and might be my fav campaign of the year. The above is all based on single player!!
