hello everybody!

me and a friend of mine were discussing movies the other day, and we came up with some brilliant (at least we thought so) movies which is hilariously misconcieved namewise.

here are some examples:

"unstoppable", which basically is about a train that goes a little bit far and then stops.
"safe house", with the beautiful tagline "no one is safe"
"mission:impossible" clearly mission possible, no?
"luck" (the new HBO series) tagline:"leave nothing to chance"

anyone got some other examples?

Howdy.

Stealth - bugger all stealthy about it, all crash bang wallop (it was also shit, but that's another thread )

Given how rather boring it was, the tagline 'Don't Fall Asleep' seemed rather ironic for The Invasion.

hahaaaha! That's made my day after a crappy morning.

Day of the Dolphin.
"Unwittingly, he trained a dolphin to kill the President of the United States" ok, so its not ironic...but it is brilliant almost beyond comprehension.

I Was A Teenage Werewolf .
"The most amazing motion picture of our time!" ...hmmmm

"The jason bourne identity" is translated to norwegian: "hvem var jason bourne" which means "who is jason bourne", and then the tagline reads "matt damon is jason bourne"

CLEVER!

Is it ironic to point out the shockingly incorrect usage of irony itt?

It's certainly predictable...can't believe it took 9 posts, but good egg for not letting the pedants down...
