He's a good actor- but why americanise it? Why americanise our shows? Is it assumed americans are racist and will vomit at the idea of watching the original classics? Is it assumed that americans are so dumb they cant empahsise with anyone outide the US? This insulting to us and to them. I haven't watched the US Office once. Because I have standards and the fact the original was never broadcast in the States makes me angry. Angry for the talented creators of the show and for the betrayal of British output. Why do all americans think we're posh victorians? Because all our recent 'trendy' shows are remade as american, all our best actors put on american accents the whole time (except a noted few) and the only things set in Britain are blockbusters about Kings, Queens and the evil Thatcher-tron. Would it be fair if we, because we like batman and Superman, jst redid all those comics/films and set them in Britain with an all british cast? I don't see it as an honour, I see it as a slight. I love americans but...my. GOD.

Hey! We like The Simpsons! Lets stop showing the original over here, make our own version and have it entirely set in Britain with British characters! Sorted! Outrageous? Only as outrageous as the above to us Brits, so why the hell not?

Really? I reckon the first two series with Uncle Albert featured some of the best episodes ever, such as Tea For Three, Sleeping Dogs Lie, From Prussia With Love, The Longest Night, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Hole In One and of course, Video Nasty which features the immortal Vampire Rhino discussion, possibly the funniest scene John Sullivan ever wrote.
Read a few things online today that seemed to suggest Jason Biggs and Robin Williams are shoo-ins for Rodney and Grandad. Reckon my suggestions a few posts back were way better.
