Any genre fans may want to look at the IGN and Dread Central reviews both of who are raveing about this film. Each giving it 4 out of 5. I'll update later when the rest of the big sites hit with their reviews.

What a moronic post. I've even put it in bold to highlight how stupid a comment it actually is.

Anyway back on topic; I've seen a preview of this film and it is quite awful. I think giving it two stars is an insult to two star films; christ its an insult to one star films.

I'll put this in the same category as the first Ghost Rider, Punisher and Wolverine; films that should be dark, violent, gritty...but are just shit. A pot filled with poo, bubbling away in a pan on an oven hob of crapness. Idris Elba deserves better...can anyone remember the last time Cage made a good film??!!

I love Crank and had high hopes they would buzz this. I'll still watch it at home as I would have done even if it had got 4 stars. BTW Waltham - Bad Lieutenant?

This is being critically panned by everyone except for the odd few who have shit for brains. Like IGN, DreadCentral and Ain't It Cool who don't know anything about rating films.

Anyway this honestly sounds worse than the first film from the reviews I've been reading.

Total film gave it 2 stars
Little White Lies gave it a 1/5
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a rotten rating of 6%

I particularly like LWL summary of it:

"By comparison, this really does make the first Ghost Rider seem like stone-baked gold"

That comment alone has made me decide I won't go and see this at the cinema. Instead I'll wait for the inevitable Blu ray Extended Cut.

But something positive can be taken away from this wreckage of a film. If it fails financially (it bombs like a lump of hard shit) I'm sure Sony will no longer want the franchise and will sell the rights to Marvel Studios. I'm crossing my fingers!!! We don't need any of this worthless cheesy shit. I'd rather have no Ghost Rider film at all than see Sony Pictures shit and piss over a great Marvel character.

Loved the Ghost Rider comics; would love to see someone like Del Toro or Aronofsky get GhostRider - HELL i'd take Zack Snyder over this shit!!

I hate violence for the sake of violence in film but this film needs to be really dark, depressingly grim, a good 18 film - not a film I could take my kid to...

This will unfortunately not bomb. The Vow is No.1 in the Box Office this week, for f*ck sake. Underworld 19 or whatever has made over $50mil so far. People are paying money to watch The Phantom Menace again. Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!

So far this year has been especially good to me for films, and I had a feeling this was gonna be the first of bad eggs to come in 2012. But seriously, what the hell is Mr. Goyer doing writing this bull? I can understand if he's been overworked lately, but this's going on his imdb page! All will be forgiven in May I'm sure/hope.

It was ok, probably a 3 star film for me. Nicolas Cage was pretty fun to watch and there were some fun action sequences.

I definitely preferred the first though. There wasn't a single moment in this film that was anywhere near as cool as seeing Ghost Rider and Sam Elliott riding side by side in the moonlight across the desert, on motorcycle and horseback in the first film. That was cool.

I'd agree with that; was expecting a real stinker after the reviews poured in this morning but I had fun with it. 3 stars would be a little generous for me, but it certainly wasn't the monstrosity I'd been led to believe.

Absolute shite, and I've got a fairly high tolerance when it comes to piss poor movies.
Nic Cage's schtick, and it hurts to write this, is getting pretty tired. The crazy faces, noises, screams, the little tics, he's done 'em all before and in far more enjoyable films than this one. So sadly even him doing his 'thing' failed to entertain me this time around. (The lack of any decent transformation scene is an annoying, budget scrimping, feature of this one too)
The whopping three action sequences that actually feature Ghost Rider are deathly dull, I didn't think it was possible but I actually preferred the ones in the original film. At least they had an OTT comic book element to them, all this had were boring shoot outs, an OK car chase at the end (over in minutes) and some flaming chains being flung around now and again. (Combined with the human combusting effect from Blade 1)

Inbetween the generous 10 mins of GR screen time is 85 mins of bad acting, non-existant plot, and ill fitting Crank style filming/editing.
Ohh and to top off this glorious shit heap is some of the most barely visable 3D I've seen at the cinema. Some floaty lens flare.... That's about it for your 3D.

Save your money guys, sometimes there's a reason a film has under 10% on RT.
