ORIGINAL: 99intheshade If Paramount are intent on doing this they should have waved a big pay check in front of Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher or Bryan Singer and brought in someone who can deliver thrills, is technically adept but can weave a tight story and will cut the fat that has spoiled Bay's movies. David Fincher would never go near this type of film, not in a million years. It would simply not make any sense, especially if you look upon his filmography that all include hard hitting original Drama's ie Se7en,Fight Club,Social Network,The Game. Transformers would simply not interest Fincher in the slightest, and why would it. Darren Aronofsky for me could only work with comic characters that have a slightly darker edge, and I just dont think Transformers has that ie if you are going back to its original upbringing. If you also look at his filmography ie The Fighter,Black Swan,The fountain, placing a family movie in the mix would simply make no sense and similiar to Fincher,Darren Aronofsky has his own original style and also like Fincher his tyle revolls around drama's and dark fantasy, neither of which could be applied to Transformers. Bryan Singer is a good shout. He has history in adapting comics characters to the big screen. A name I also think could do a good transformers movie would be J.J Abrams,he has a great eye for story, directing and making classic family type movies,in which I think Transformers should be.
