Yet another slice of awesome ridiculousness by Mr Bekmambetov. I think you can sign me up for this one.

What next? George Washington: Giant Killer? Thomas Jefferson: Witchfinder General? Or how about Ronald Reagan: Friend Of Bonzo The Chimp? (Oh they made that movie already!)

I mean, I know we complain that there's nothing original coming out of Hollywod these days; it's all sequels, prequels, reboots and reimaginings but come on!! The most original stuff they can come up with is to smash 2 genres together and see what happens?! That trailer looks exactly like what you'd expect when they do that! Abe Lincoln as a "cool" (God I hate that word as much as l hate "awesome") vampire hunter?! FFS !! Bring on "Dolly Parton; Terra-former" ......

Practically everything in this trailer looks like CGI SFX... including the actor playing Mr Lincoln. But the voice-over works for me--much better than the utterly overdone "this summer" schtick.

I've read the book of abraham lincoln vampire hunter, and it was a great book and from the trailer it looks like it's going to be a good film. Not sure i'll be going to the cinema to see it but I might rent it, not sure that I'll be watching pride and prejudice and zombies if it even gets made.

[sm=fighting03) And plus it'll be good to see an original movie.

Against my better judgement, I want to go see this. I actually think this looks quite entertaining and original.

From the trailer this looks like great fun! I quite like Bekmambetov's crazy movies ( Although Daywatch was fucking confusing! ) and this looks like it'll be a blast. Strange idea but great at the same time. Let's hope he finishes his crazy Nightwatch trilogy soon!

Those that are moaning about this as a conceited trick by movie studios of mashing two genres together; you do realise this is based on a BOOK of the same title, whose authors modus operandi is literary & historical 'horror' mashups?

Trailers looks daft, just like the book. Silly popcorn nonsense for a couple of hours, never gonna win awards but probably great for a drunken midnight movie.

These genre mashups don't have to be bad (BUBBA HO TEP is a rather charming adventure, I think), but the ones we've been getting lately seem to be the product of an immense deficit of creative imagination in Hollywood. It's too bad..

PS DOLLY PARTON: TERRA FORMER is genius.
