The list was compiled on the basis of players from my youth up until now as while I don't doubt the greatness of teh usual suspects as others have said I didn't actually see enough or any of Pele, Best Charlton, Puskas etc

I have also deliberatly left Diego Maradona out to make it s a little more interesting. Reason being he is head and shoulders above everyone on this list.

Again this is players who I've seen and at 28 I can barely remember Maradona at USA 94. Not really an order, just players I can think of who were amazing.

How can you not remember Diego at 94 but have VanBasten at three when his best tourno was 88?

Pirlo was better than Cannavaro at the same world cup....and Buffon was pretty much outstanding, so much for the single handedly.
