You're right, the 1992 one. I tend to have a problem identifying the very early 90s from the 80s.

I was really stumped though, I tried to think what 80s film she was in. And there is a difference between a film from, say, 1982 and one from 10 years later.

Oh yeah, but the really popular stuff between the late 80s and 90s tends to be more than a bit unrecognizable. At least to me. Well who cares both periods can suck it.

I could tell you the secret to the lamb pic, but then I'd have to kill you.

It's no 'Spirit'. That is, by FAR, the best song on the soundtrack.

She was and always will be seen to many as a musical legend when she was in her prime. Without her you would have been less likley to have Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson (the next WH hopefully minus the addictions) and Rihanna. It`s such a tragic and worst of all avoidable premature end for a star who had everything apart from maybe a happy stable marriage which looked like it tipped her into self destructive addiction. If only her loved ones could have stopped her but in the end the buck stops with the addict only they can stop with the right help. We don`t know yet exactly what killed her officially but I think we can say that alcohol and drug addiction played a major part. Illegal drugs are evil and ruin lives don`t go there people. So sad.

He obviously didn`t take the dangers seriously. Who knows if he loved her really or not he should still be at the funeral to support her daughter.

They all pale into insignificance next to the genius of Oingo 'Danny Elfman' Boingo's Flesh N' Blood. Which can be heard vaguely in the background for about two seconds.

And didn't one Robert Brown get to flex his thespian muscle as a doorman in the film? I don't think I've ever seen such a ludicrously crow-barred celebrity cameo in a movie, certainly not until I saw Madonna in Die Another Day. She made Brown look like Olivier.

But sorry, yeah, back to Whitney.

WTF?! Anyone know how yet?

No, no details yet, but its been confirmed by her "people" or whatever.

One of my first pop music related memories was as a kid, watching The Big Breakfast and they were talking about I WIll Always Love You, and how it was still No1, like in its eighth week or something, and I thought it was really amazing that everyone liked the song enough to keep buying it. I must have been about six, maybe seven. My first brush with the power of pop music.

This post makes me feel very old.

In response to WH's death, Bobby Brown has a lot to answer for.

I quite like that song too! Up unitl I learnt that that was Bobby Brown though, the only other song of his I knew existed was "Two Can Play that Game"... And that IS shit.

Given the information in the public domain I am not sure hat Jim said was libelous. BB's rep is hardly going to be denigrated.

"Yo, Ghostbusters!! Say, can I get one of those for my kid brother??"

Without wanting to derail the thread, I actually have a soft spot for GB 2. I have fond memories of seeing it at the flicks, preceded by a twenty minute Pepsi promo featuring Tina Turner.

I still love "my guys are still under a judicial mistrangement order - that blue thing I got from her".

And Annie Potts looks great in it too.

Oh and apparently they're live-streaming the funeral - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17056801

Tacky and inappropriate? Or a cunning ruse to circumvent any unwarranted press intrusion?

Damn shame about Whitney Houston. She was as big a music star and awesome a singer as you could hope to find. So many classic songs and she had such a powerful, strong voice in her prime.

That's pure speculation - she could have been into drugs long before they even met for all we know.
