There doesn't exist 165 films you've rated that highly.

It was a great thread. And I'm boring people with an even longer list, it'll be nice to not feel so alone.

Yeah but you do reviews. I just put pictures up for half of it.

Just submitted my list, and then realised that things like Lord Of The Rings, and Kill Bill (presumably Red Cliff, too) are supposed to count as one movie. D'oh!!

Got the list, thanks. If you want to wait before changing the LotR entries, I'll have a look through and let you know if there's anything else in there that needs combining, save you doing it twice. MC, there's nothing in the email from you that I can see.

Thanks. Pretty sure quite a few of my choices won't stand a chance in hell, but hey...

You might be surprised. The top half of the 1000 is usually films that appear on quite a few lists, but the bottom half quite often has a lot of one-listers. I'll go through the list when I have a bit of free time tonight or tomorrow.

Hey. Did you ever get around to checking this?
I'll probably wait until I've seen Cloud Atlas before revising my list, but was just wondering.

I haven't. Mainly because I didn't know if I should up it to 250, so I've kind of put it all on hold while mulling it over, but also partly because I've had to do the final count and list prep for the literature poll, so that took over a little bit. I am going to allow 250 for this. So I'll get it checked over the weekend sometime.

This kind of fizzled out, so I'm going to try and see if there's enough interest to do the third year after all. Despite the last post, I'd restrict lists to 100 films at maximum. I think most people at a film site will have 100 films they truly love, push it beyond that and some people will start space filling, so I'm going to try making it more restrictive for a change.

This has been going on so long now that I'm going to call time at the end of the month. So any lists can be sent to me by Halloween. If we don't get enough for a top 1000, I'll do a top 500.

I've emailed my list. I've included the entire filmography of David Lynch and all movies made in 1987 as one entry. Hope that's OK.

As long as Lynch is number one....

Anyway, I'll smash together a shambles of a Top 100 before the due date. It won't be in any real order and I'll regret it but hey organising is a bitch.

How many folks have you got participating in this Rawls? If it's a decent number I'll try and get one in.

I don't tend to do lists, but one like this is quite tempting. I could easily come up with a 100, but putting it in an order of preference might kill me.

Also, is the criteria our 100 favourite things or what we think are the best films ever made? Either one would potentially result in vastly different entries for me.

You never really know until the deadline, because a lot of lists usually tend to turn up on that last day. People generally just tend to vote for their favourites.
