OK Guys i just registered to this forum to participate to this list. I've a top 150 movies that I always actualize so I'm in. I'm very picture-frinedly so you'll have films from all periods and about 20% from foreign movies :)

One of us... one of us...

Welcome!

Yeah, shorts are fine, and if it's something like the Hunting Trilogy, they count as one entry.

If anyone does need last year's list, I should have a copy (as long as it went to the proper email) if it was sent by pm, I might not have it.

Yeah, count me in again. I'm thinking about changing my list up this year by omitting everything that made the top hundred on last year's poll. Unless I end up padding the thing out with an even-dodgier-than-usual selection, in which case the popular stuff can go back in.

I did something similar last year, I dropped a lot that had done really well the first year and added a lot of obscurities in high positions.

Yeah, it's the only way a few films I'll be including will be able to make the list.

List sent. Are you counting as you get them or waiting until the end?

I'll wait until a week or so before the end to give people a chance to make any changes, then I'll say on thread no changes to lists already in. So you've got time if you need to make adjustments.

I'm in.

Lots of cool stuff from last year to factor in. Also need to reshuffle a few things.

Oh, ha fucking ha.

Still like the flick, but it won't make the cut this time around.

I was going to just send in the top 100 from my list, but then realised you'd make me change all the shorts and series I have lumped together. I might just put LOTR followed by 99 Tom and Jerry cartoons, make my lifer easier.

You'd never submit a list without Muppets or Stan & Ollie.

I'm just trying to help you improve your list. What if LotR drops out of the top ten this time? Don't you want to jump ship before that?

I'm in, I think I missed this last year. What's the rule again regarding sequels? Is LOTR the only one that gets counted as one? Why do the Godfathers not get counted as one? Star Wars? Terminators? Aliens?

I always just think a single film should be counted as a single film, this is where it all gets complicated.

I think it's because the LOTRs are very definitely three parts of one story, whereas most others have at least one episode that's a standalone. Empire and Jedi form a continuation, but Star Wars itself can be watched apart from the others.

Yeah, that's basically it. Anything where the story continues, and it's the same director, gets counted as one entry. So in addition to LotR, there's also stuff like the Samurai Trilogy, Human Condition and Kill Bill that gets classed as one.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either. But it was going to be one film until Tarantino realised he could milk people for more money by splitting it in two.

Right, I'm going to give this a go. I'm terrible with lists, my favourites are always shifting about. It depends on my mood at the time which is why I've never really entered the ones in Audiophile or here but my god I'm going to give this a go. I'll work on it for a little while and send it on over.

That's a shame, I prefer to split the LOTR films. By doing that I can give Fellowship the love I think it deserves and place it in my top 5. As a collective the series won't trouble my top 50.

This rule's fine with me, it'll just encourage me not to vote for it.

We're still looking at a late August hand-in yeah?
