As it's customary this time of year to have the subforum'slist of their all-time favourites, I figured I would start the thread for people to vote in. Obviously most will be familiar with the voting setup, but as there seems to be a decent handful of new posters since last time, the process is thusly: post your twenty favourite albums in numbered order, in the format ALBUM - ARTIST. If you can't order them by preference, alphabetically/by release date/etc is fine, but the points will still be distributed by their position in your chart. A sample list may look a bit like this:
  1. Cliff Sings - Cliff Richard
  2. Bold As Brass - Cliff Richard
  3. Something's Goin' On - Cliff Richard
  4. Silver - Cliff Richard
  5. Wired For Sound - Cliff Richard
  6. When In Rome - Cliff Richard
  7. Sincerely, Cliff - Cliff Richard
  8. I'm Nearly Famous - Cliff Richard
  9. Listen To Cliff! - Cliff Richard
  10. Green Light - Cliff Richard
  11. Tracks And Grooves - Cliff Richard
  12. When In Spain - Cliff Richard
  13. Cliff At Christmas - Cliff Richard
  14. Real As I Wanna Be - Cliff Richard
  15. Don't Stop Me Now! - Cliff Richard
  16. Established 1958 - Cliff Richard
  17. Stronger - Cliff Richard
  18. Rock n Roll Juvenile - Cliff Richard
  19. The 31st of February Street - Cliff Richard
  20. Songs About Fucking - Big Black
In your list, 20 points are assigned to first place, continuing down until 20th receives one point. Live albums, collaborations, soundtrack albums, etc are all fine, but compilations are out (I won't be too strict on this beyond Best Ofs though - if you want to include other kinds of comps and can make a case for it, then it's fine). There's also no limits to how many albums per artist you can include.
Please stick to the above format with album followed by artist for the sake of my sanity, and utilise the website's auto-list function for your own convenience. I'm thinking that the closing date should be two months from now/end of April, but I'm open to suggestions. (Here's last year's results.)

19. Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch
20. Kate Bush - Hounds of Love

EDIT: Just noticed the artist-album thing. It seems counter-intuitive (though probably Excel-lent), but I'll edit it later, since I will revamp the list anyway.
EDIT: finally edited that, but still haven't updated the list. soon...

I've edited my votes, Sgt Pepper is new in #2 and Lynyrd Skynyrd are gone.

1 per artist unlike last time, and I encourage all of you to do the same to avoid the boring domination which seems to reoccur:

On the other hand it favours bands/artists who have a clear "classic" record, and means artists like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Madonna, Kraftwerk split their own vote.

Madonna is amazing, and has at, the very least, three classic albums to pick from.

I don't think there's any danger of her splitting her vote though, she only has the one so far.

I meant in theory at least. Bob is the one who traditionally suffers a bit in the Empire poll, because there is no consensus. Arcade Fire do well because most people agree that Funeral is their best record.

If Madonna was more popular around here (you heathens) she'd face the same problem.
