 Time to take a stroll down those mean streets for the Hall of Fame film noir round. It's going to take place after HoF 14 finishes. The current long-term members will get first refusal on a slot, and it won't be counted as part of your regular membership, but if any of you want to sit this one out then that's fine. Either way, we're looking for at least six new members, one to take over the vacant longterm slot and five short-term slots. All types of noir are fine, traditional/neo/future. Because some films are probably going to be in high demand, it's going to be first come first served for those titles. I think we made the decision to rule out anything that had been previously nominated, but TRM and Reb' will need to confirm on that one.

So if you could let us know if you're interested, sign up on thread, letting us know if you want to be put in for the longterm slot, the shortterm slot, or both. If there's a specific film that you're desperate to secure for yourself, let us know by email or pm. Also, can the current three long-termers can let us know if they want to be in this round?

 One more thing, to be a long-term member you need to have taken part and completed a short-term round in the past.

I'll wait on the nom till I find out if I've got a slot if that's OK? I'd guess the one that would be the easy one to go with - my afore-mentioned vote whore nomination for the main HoF - would be picked up by someone else anyway. The choice will be really difficult - especially as so much good noir just isn't available still, unless people would be OK with a circulated copy.

 This could be the hardest round to date to pick a winner from for me if the noms go right. Cercle rouge, the killers, sweet smell of success, Maltese falcon, build my gallows high, a colt is my passport. Way too many great options.

 Am I still long termer? I can't remember HOF 14 was my 4th was it not?

Either way, I think sit this one out. Mainly because I can only think of one film I'd want to nominate, and chances are someone else will have that.

Title doesn't say classic film noir, which I'd hoped might mean film noir generally - neo-noir is really just another term for film noir of a different period.
