I watched it on Box Office a couple of weeks back, and absolutely loved it.

Thought it was awesome, Neeson on top form, moody, dark and astoundingly shot.

Love the little scene after the end credits as well, nice touch is that.

The DVD dropped through my letterbox yesterday, so I watched it last night.

Forgot how simply fucking BRUTAL it is!

SPOILER
First attack, at the crash site, I'm sure the wolf GRABS THE GUY'S FACE!!!

Still fantastic, though. Still sends chills down my spine.

Fantastic movie and one that certainly stays with you for a while afterwards. I was actually really moved by this film. I really felt there was some intellectual and emotional heft behind it all. Don't wish to sound poncy but it felt a little existential.
I thought the performances all round were wonderful, particularlt Neeson who has suddenly found himself the go to guy for rugged, tough ass blokes.

The ending I was in two minds about, but I think that the "wish fulfillment" of seeing a wolf vs neeson smackdown would have cheapened what had gone before...

Caught this on Netflix last night. Loved it! Great film, much more brutal than I was expecting it to be and suprisingly moving in places. I don't know what was more menacing, the Wolves or the landscapes.

It is quite depressing though when you get down to it. Not the action movie it was promoted as. It is more a survival tale, almost a disaster movie of sorts. And yes, it is a meditation on death, which let's face it, is never a crowd pleaser. Must have been hard for Liam Neeson to make considering everything he's been through over the past few years.

But the big question is... after that ending (either a brilliant piece of storytelling or a cop out) did he survive? I have seen the post credits scene and I still can't make out what the feck is going on. I can't see his head at all.

The film gets a deserving 4/10 from me.
Or if you prefer, 2/5.

Liam Neeson holds up as much of this film as he can and unfortuneatley, by the end, he just seems to throw it away as the film builds towards an awful ending that cuts before the climax. Simple plot, simple writing, OK acting, fast yet somehow boring. The Grey is a tough film.
