I see some comments above about SSD, i recently bought THIS for my windows 7 pc and i'm amazed at how fast it is.

Basically this pc is now only used for hosting my itunes library of music/video which is connected to appletv/iphones/ipads/ipods (mine and girlfriends), but over the years i've had all sorts of shit software, so i decided it was time for a rebuild.
I thought i'd just get the 60gb for windows/program files, but it's already full up! Got like 10gb free! My media and documents are all on the orginal SATA drive that was in there.
I'm very impressed with the speed, i've got itunes in my startup folder and it goes from off to itunes in 40 seconds.

I do want to get one for my macbook now, as it's getting a bit dated and i can't afford a 1000's worth of laptop at the moment. I'm torn between getting the 120gb and 250gb. I use the macbook for general use, as well as hosting/fiddling with my photo library.

So... if you're thinking of getting an ssd for your computer and unsure whether to go 60gb or 120gb. Go 120gb (or larger), you won't regret it! I'm already toying with buying the 120gb and rebuilding again!

so bought me a new graphics card the other day, only to realise its too wide for my bloody 'slimline' tower.

this, of course, i'm using as an excuse to buy a new tower case which i was plannin to do in the near future anyway, a thought just occurred to me tho, all the cases i've looked at have their frontal audio/usb sockets in different places, havin not taken my machine apart yet i dont know if the inputs are movable or if they're all in one solid block.

i'm sure you can insert them independently in a new box, but thought i should ask...not matter how much of a noobhat question it sounds!
also i have a sd card reader on the front of my current tower, i'm guessin that can just be placed in the smaller slot of a new box

Not sure I quite understand but the Front or top audio/usb sockets generally connect to your motherboard and are part of the case rather than the board. So you're new case will come with new sockets.

Yeah I would assume so, it's the size of an old floppy drive right?

the sd card card slot is the size of an sd card
this is what i have

this is what im gettin

without taking it apart and having a look, i'm guessing the card reader can just fit into the fourth slot down
the headphone/mic an usb inputs are at the top, i didnt actually think that they'd automatically be in the box heh, cheers for the heads up
