Reb' will edit in a public poll later, but just to get the round started, your top six are

Das Boot
Downfall
The Last Picture Show
Marketa Lazarova
Underground
Wise Blood

No firm deadline as yet, but you're looking at roughly a week.

You can just use my votes from the last round. Also, great second round. Did anyone apart from me vote other than myself?

Nope.

However, because of Piles' lack of voting, you can take comfort in the fact that The Room didn't come last.

Also, fantastic final six there and votes have been sent.

The Penalty remains a shocker, I had it down for the final three after all the praise it got.

This is a mostly brilliant top six, btw (not as big a fan of one of the films there as most), 4 of my top 6 made it.

First round was really tough. I found myself putting films like The Penalty and The Music Box in the bottom six, even though they were really good and I enjoyed them plenty.

First Bad Day at Black Rock doesn't make the cut, now The Penalty.... bunch of fekkin' Gimli's

Other than that, I commend the 6 that got through. I need a couple of rewatches before I can cast my vote again.

How the hell did The Penalty not get through? RAAAAAAAAAAGE!

On the other hand, it's good to see Downfall and Underground made it, I'll try and give Marketa Lazarova another watch before the deadline.

Don't worry, you'll probably win with your Matty's mother of a nomination in the next round.

Das Boot gets my vote, but the lack of L&H love is making me lose faith in these forums.

Matty/Das Boot gets my vote. Das Boot is a masterpiece as well as being one of my favourite films, and it's also the first film that I would have put up for a nomination if he hadn't got there first - completely deserves it. Then again, out of this round I've only seen two nominations....

It's a very interesting selection of nominees altogether though - a nice mix of the famous and less known. That's the fab thing about this forum - everyone has something to offer.

I'm intrigued - I thought I'd picked a goodie, but this implies that Justin has something special/'so famous it has to win up' his sleeve.

It doesn't always work out like that, though. If... and F For Fake both won when they were up against more famous films that initially seemed more likely winners.

Marketa Lazarova stays while United 93 gets the boot. Fuck, that hurts. : (

He's right though.

And the first time you nominate a film that would probably have got you to the second round you decide to pull out of the nominations.

I still think it's hilarious that Miles went with the biggest begging for votes film that's been in the HoF in ages and then If.... gunned it down.

Actually, out of the nominations we have so far I'd say it's probably between you two for the win.
