What about Vin Diesel in The Pacifier? Probably nowhere near as embarassing as Mr Nanny but the whole plot turns around a ridiculously over-complicated dance routine taught to the kids which Vin looks decidedly uncomfortable performing.

As a fully fledged geek with this film, I have to point out that Elizabeth Shue's character is not heading into town to confront her boyfriend (she does this but it's not the focus of the trip). She is in fact going to rescue her friend Brenda (Penelope Ann Miller) who is having to deal with a man who lives in a phone box, a jumbo size sewer rat and a hot dog vendor who actually says to her, 'You slip me the cash and I'll slip you the weiner'. Amazing - what a film!

...Don't tell Mom the Baby Sitters Dead! The baby sitter is dead. Thought that one would be obvious. Also Uncle Buck is one of favourites. That really should be there.

How is Halloween not in this? It was even going to be titled The Babysitter Murders!

I'm ashamed to admit I saw Mr Nanny in the cinema (I was only 12). And technically The Goonies should be in this as Mikey's big brother is supposed to be babysitting.
