Nobody owns the rights to night its in the public domain due to the original distributiors ballsing something up i think.
Hence sooooo many night dvds ( saw one in a bakery during dinner once, along with taxi driver which my friend bought, WTF dvds in a bakery!)

It would be nice to see night receive the full arrow treatment but i guess with all the cheap dvds it may not make sense financially but we'll see.
They did do a dvd trilogy though
http://www.amazon.co.uk/George-Romeros-Trilogy-Night-Living/dp/B005KITEKY/ref=sr_1_7?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1329853888&sr=1-7

also my Savage Streets arrived today

well, hopefully my copy of BATTLE ROYALE should hit home soon (what's that one like?). But the ones I'm looking forward to more than anything are the two DEMONS films.

I was just thinking, seeing as how the current UK release by Optimum has no real extras, Arrow would seem the perfect team to produce a new special edition of BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF

Hey dude, i dont actually own Battle Royale, funnily enough i've never really been much of a fan of it. Only seen it once over ten years ago.

I think BOTW is way too recent to be honest. I'd say battle Royale is their only exception so far, other than that, all their other releases are much older movies. Also is it exploitative enough?

I was really impressed with it dude. It's not the most amazing looking movie out there anyway but looks as good as you could hope. The extras are definitely worth a watch too, although unfortunately, the US blu has different extras which are not included here

I watched Demons last night and was delighted with the PQ, i'm watching Demons 2 now and it's almost identical, but perhaps not quite as good. Arrow have had a few iffy titles in their collection PQ wise but these two are a safe bet and a huge upgrade over any previous dvd or vhs releases you may have. I've still got my old VHS tapes of these two. never got round to picking them up on DVD!

Got my Limited Edition version of Zombie Flesh Eaters yesterday. This is easily one of the best releases in terms of PQ for Arrow and it's a magnificent release, HIGHLY recommended!

I picked up ZFE earlier this week too (11 for the Blu-ray, in-store at HMV), and once I'd gotten over the initial feeling of sacrilege from watching a film of that ilk on a format other than a scuzzy old VHS tape I had a great time with it.

It's funny you mention that, I had the exact same thought last night as I was watching it. I agree it does feel a bit strange to begin with but then when you see the film as it was intended, like you say you have a great time with it. The other thing that crossed my mind was that I really do think this film would potentially get a '15' cert these days if it wasn't for that eyeball/splinter scene... Anyone else think the same or am I talking crazy!?

On a slightly different note, and spurred on by my purchase of ZFE does anyone own the Shameless BR of Cannibal Holocaust? I own the uncut/animal cruelty free Grindhouse Deluxe Edition from a few years ago and whilst I think the uncut version is a masterpiece I'm seriously considering getting it, so I can have it on BR (the reported 2011 Grindhouse release has yet to appear!). I realise the muscrat scene is missing and the new director's edit is essentially uncut but is slightly distracting but besides all that, is it worth purchasing!?

That looks ok but looking at the dvdbeaver.com comparison, to me the Blue Underground image looks better.

Yeah that's a good release. There was recently a steelbook which sold out quick and Arrow did originally do a Ltd edition.

Get this one Arrow Video: Battle Royale [Limited Edition to 10,000]

The picture quality is a bit mediocre mind, but the set is excellent.

Theres an error on the Zombie Flesh Eaters blu ray, Arrow are aware of it and their response is "it'll be fixed for future pressings, but we won't offering a replacement program for those who've already bought it.".

Terrible treatment of their customers, I'll be cancelling my Arrow orders now.

Can I ask what the error is? Does it spoil the feature in any way?

It's a 6 second cut after the title music. No footage is missing, just 6 seconds of nothing.

urm "six seconds of nothing"

It's cut six seconds of the boat drifting in, it might not be much but to a completest it's very annoying.

Here you can see the difference between the BU and Arrow release, also the music is slight off on the Arrow due to the "cut of nothing"

fair enough, seems a bit off they couldn't get the transfer right for such a package. Guess I will wait before buying a copy.
