I have seen footage of the film and it looks good. The poster is shit, sure, but I'm not going to say the film is going to suck based on that. Have you seen the trailers?

I don't watch trailers, why watch selected scenes from a film in advance?
If the overall reviews, plot or director of a film interests me then I'll watch it.

My optimism has fell upon viewing the poster, but I know I'll end up buying it on Blu Ray anyway.

But why base a film on its poster? That means absolutely nothing in this day and age. Nobody cares about posters, they don't focus on them any more. It's a shame, but that's the way it is.

I watch trailers to see if I want to see the film. It's just annoying that a lot of trailers ruin too much.

I disagree. X-Men First Class had crap posters and that's considered a good film. Sometimes the Marketing department just don't know how to sell a film. Doesn't mean the film sucks.

Still think Spiderman will dissapoint and The Hobbit is my favourite book..so it can't live up to what is already in my head.

I have no idea about Prometheus: hated last trailer, loved the first ones. Scott hasn't made anything decent in recent years...he hasn't done sci-fi though.

It also fails to sort out any of the problems of the narrative, as Mr Kermode correctly pointed out.

Snow White and the Huntsman. I'm sorry but this looks so cliche' and by the numbers, right down to a dwarf saying "She's the one." in the trailer. I'm not even sure if the visuals are that impressive!

There's nothing wrong with voicing an opinion about what movies you think will be bad. May as well ban people saying they think certain movies will be great.

I don't think Batman and the Hobbit will be much good (Bane's Yoda voice, Jesus), but I hope they are. I like to be surprised.
