Empire 272.

Empire asked Hollywood. Hollywood answered.

Well, most of them did. Tom Cruise, Kevin Spacey, Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks... they all got into the spirit of it. Good for them.

Werner Herzog; "I do not know Jim Henson and I do not know the muppets." What a selt-indulgent miserable old fucker he is.

Anyway, who's yours?

I love when he can't control himself on the drums in Christmas Carol. Or when he turns into giant Animal in the Muppet Movie.

He always scared me as a child. It's the voice and wild eyes that do it. Freaky.

I've met people like those IRL here, who don't know about the muppets or who the muppets left no significant impact whatsoever in their lives. Worse, I doubt they're actually successful here, I remember most of the adults in my childhood finding them insufferable.

Shall I call them self-indulgent miserable old fuckers as well or is this you being a boring, turgid troll?*

*or a moron, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt.

Oh and...

Never fail to make me laugh and responsible for the greatest lines of the entire franchise.

I would find Kermit loosing his sanity in a jungle quite upsetting.

But I want to see all the muppets pull a 300 ton ship over a mountain. Animal could play Klaus Kinskis role.

He would just do a documentary about how the Muppets effected people's lives, narrated by Miss Piggy while making Jim Henson a Jesus Christ figure.

EDIT: And Animal a representation of the noble savage, of course.

Ah, Rowlf. The original Muppet. He is awesome.

I remember when he 'stopped talking' for years after Henson died

Let him do it as a documentary, with him narrating. His documentaries are his best films anyway.
