Isn't showing a bunch of disinterested goobers your film and allowing them to make mind-numbing, incoherent criticisms and suggestions for improvement standard industry practice, Soap?

Depends how much clout the director has. And how confident the studio is. Hopefully this'll be an audience of fanboys who can appreciate this sort of thing and thus not be prone to swivel-eyed negativity or woefully disproportionate knee-jerk overreaction...

HANG ON A SEC!

Wouldn't be the first time a movie's release has been shunted back at the eleventh hour. Look at World War Z. I've already heard whispers that Dredd won't be out till next year now. And wasn't it originally scheduled for March or something?

It's common practice but at this stage in the game it wouldn't be for substantial changes since the film's completely finished. There's not much they could do to change the final product and it's only a measure for marketing and guaging the audience reaction to it.

Lets hope that screening audience is packed-out with gore hungry teenage boys, because that's the kind of repeat customer theatre chain owners seem to prefer to target. If only DNA had thought to include some pubescent wizards or hunky vampires, this film could have won the demographic lottery.

Shite! The date's been locked and everything geared toward September since last year. I don't think they have the resources or the clout to reassemble the cast to do reshoots.

Well, if the average online fanboy's anything to go by, they've already got the belly-wheel and Otto Sump market all stitched up! Hello? Is this thing on...?

That's clearly ripped from the trailer, only one day to go!

Hang on? Did I just read correctly that Dredd is out to stop a drug epedemic of something called 'Slo-Mo' that makes users experience time at a fraction of its real speed? Really? Is that confirmed?? Sounds like fucking 'Cake'! Are the users gunna get 'Czech Neck' and be hit by buses as they cross the road, believing they have a week to do so!

Yup,Slo-mo is the drug, that's all I know because I'm avoiding plot spoilers like the plague.

Clip looks cool, what strikes me from the off is the cinematography, the composition is brilliant and more stylish than I thought it would have.

Cake is a made-up drug. Our young people need to be made aware of the dangers of experimenting with fictional drugs. The slo-mo tripping in this blipvert is one of the most beautiful and arresting images I've seen this year in any medium:

Spaldron; everything you need to know about the new film is right there ^. It doesn't look cheap, the real world vehicles aren't a distraction, the costume design is inspired and Urban works it well. Like you say, though; full length trailer drops tomorrow.

Oscar winning cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle's work looks just UNBELIEVABLY good, and if anything can set this film apart from the fun but derivative likes of The Raid and The Avengers, it's how gorgeous he's made everything look. Plus, the gattling gun (or modern variant) has been my favourite screen weapon since The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Really hope we see the Lawmaster in the trailer that I promised myself I wouldn't watch, have a sneaking suspicion that I'll crumble after about 2 minutes.Thats my last real niggle as I thought the leaked shot was a little off.Need to see it moving from cool angles, banking round corners.
