This is the first 'remake' I've come across which genuinely feels like the original game all over again, only on a modern day system, it's awesome. I'm happy they've stuck to the old formula - very hard to find any real gripes with it. If I was nitpicking - I would prefer more of the game to take place in sleepy little suburbs, like it did in the original. I used to love creeping around a populated down, and looking for cover in houses etc. If the game has one shortfall, it isn't quite... atmospheric enough. - Kneeling to increase accuracy is a bit of a miss - Like with the original, the aliens seem to level with you - I would rather just have a mixture, even as you get more powerful, but the XCom games have always done it this way. - The ability to have more than one Skyranger! Funding is so consistently low it's difficult to keep all of your nations happy, and it would be good to have multiple missions on the go at once. Apart from that, it's bene worth the wait, and if they can get a sequel up and running... ah, happy days for gaming have returned.
