Hello,

I just wanted to see if anyone is having the same problem as me in that, I am desperate to see the Artist (so much great information from Empire, Chris H on Film 2011, and that fact that my local cineworld has advertised it everytime I go to the cinema) and I am appalled that my local cineworld (or any cinema nearby) are not showing it! I know they view that it will have a limited appeal because of being a silent film and they have to cater for the 'masses' but is anyone else experiencing the same frustration? I have already complained to Cineworld but it would be great to have the support of Empire readers (wouldn't it be great if an online petition could be done to bring it to more cinemas? Unless people complain then cinemas will continue to do this and audiences will continue to be repressed and passive through mind numbing cinema - although I did really enjoy Mission Impossible 4).

Anyone else feeling the anger?

It's not Cineworld's fault. It's being rolled out over a number of weeks to take advantage of the buzz the film is sure to gain during awards season. Your complain lies with Entertainment, the distributors, whose hand is being swayed by the Weinstein Company, not the cinema chains.
