The reviewer cites Aranofsky's pi as an influence, but perhaps, given the inspiration it also offered for pi visually and tonally and in terms of the world of the story being presented through the perceptions/emotional perspective/paranioa of the main character rather than objectively presenting the world the character lives in, Eraserhead should be regarded as the touchstone. Once upon a time, cinema brought you Eraserhead, now it brings you , um, Recorderhead?

Yes, dreamers dream and doers do. But if dreamers DON'T dream, doers don't have anything TO do. Everything that is only here because people exist, only exists because someone thought of it., or in other words, dreamed it.
