Everyone is entitled to his og her opinion, but I would still rate a lot of comic book movies higher than both Batman Begins and DK.

There's also those that are not even superhero related like Ghost World.

DK wasn't even the best comic book adaptation that year. Iron Man and Hellboy 2 both superior movies in my opinion.

THE CROW, BLADE II, BATMAN, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, HELLBOY, HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, IRON MAN, THE INCREDIBLE HULK...

No. I don't think so.

Dick Donners Superman, The Crow, Road to Perdition, Blade, Batman Begins, Akira...

In fact, it could be argued that in some respects Batman Begins is better than The Dark Knight...

Someone needs to teach these kids a lesson, Snake...

I wouldn't say any of the films you or Snake have listed are better than TDK despite being mostly very good films. Superman, Hellboy and Road to Perdition certainly aren't imo, not even close.

And I'm 33 .

Not necessarily better, but TDK doesn not make them look bad by a loooong way.

An I think I prefer Batman Begins... Really!

Oh yeah that's fair enough. Like I said, they're all mostly good films.

I only slightly prefer TDK to Begins myself so it's not really that surprising. Both great films IMO.

TDK is not a bad movie by a long shot, but has seriously (why so serious) some problems the central conceit with the boats being extremely stupid. 2 face character reduced to a plot point. Most of the movie just seems random.

A very strong joker performance seems to blind many to the fact, that the movie is overlong and really has serious plot problems.

Batman Begins in my opinion clearly much much more coherent and the better movie by miles.

I would probably rate my favorite comic book movies those that I have seen thusly:

X-Men 2
Spiderman 2
Batman Begins
Hellboy 2
Superman 2
Iron Man
Blade 2
TDK
Sin City
X-Men
Hellboy

Seems to be a lot of 2s.

Like your choice of picking Superman 2. Missed that one! But is it Lesters version or the more recently released Dick Donner version? I gotta go with the Donner version all day long.

Haven't seen the Donner version yet so can't compare them.

Regarding Spiderman 2 - Alfred Molinas Doc Oc is really one of the best supervillians in all the adaptations.

He's a serious physical threat to the hero. He has motivations and explanations to his villiany. He has a truly heartbreaking arc that is personal and understandable even with the superhero craziness going on and the fantastical nature.

Alfred Molina does a brilliant job - before the accident he seems a really bright and very sympathetic character filled with humour and compassion and after a man on a mission however misguided finally coming back in the end.

The Joker in TDK is very good however - he's not really a person, but an ideology however twisted it may be.
