It's common for a company to register a HQ in a random building while most of the company is in another country. The same could be applied to your bullies especially our Government is following the Luxembeurg model. Like you said their HQ is registered above a takeaway when most of these companies are in fact American. I honestly don't think they are running a well man operation in the UK and just relying on empty threats. Their lack of knowledge when it comes to regulation and consumer rights also back this up.

Yeah I've already done some intense research in case it ever does occur, the first thing I did was to check all the facts from the perspective of someone who actually does owe money and there's very little they can do there, let alone to someone like myself who they're just trying to con or who has been conned by someone else and their failure to do their checks properly in the first place has come back to bite them in the arse.

As for your last point, it has crossed my mind. The last company to send me a letter seem to have a lot of connections, from research I've done online, to other 'payday loan' companies so I am wondering if there's some big umbrella corporation, more than likely abroad as you say, running all of this. I'd be intrigued to go to the office in Glasgow this last letter was sent from and see what's actually there. If I lived a lot closer I would.

Well this is interesting. It turns out that Minicredit, the company I am "dealing" with, are already under investigation from the OFT, not only that but the BBC launched an investigation on them back in February this year...

These exact threats they were investigated for and are against consumer credit rules and regulations, are the same threats they have made to me via post. So do you think it's worth me now contacting the BBC to draw their attention back to the issue? It's into the second week now since I sent them the letter in reply to their notice of 'Final Intent' and I am still yet to receive a reply.

I kind of hope they really do break one of these rules, rather than just threaten it, that way I can really hang them out to dry. My employer is already aware of the problems I've been experiencing anyway so it would have no effect on my employment whatsoever.

I'm definitely considering it, I'm not after any attention myself, in fact I'm not sure I want my name on any potential article like the woman interviewed in the piece I posted the link too, but I would like to, as I've said before, draw more public attention to this for the sake of other people out there.

It seems a lot of people have no actual idea where they stand or what rights they have with loans they do or don't owe for when it comes to dealing with these kind of companies.
