Is the deadline for this still the 11th of March? I'm still failing miserably at watching more films for it

Yeah, I think so. I think an extension of a week or so is usually ok, but as we've already pushed the date back by a month, anything more might be a bit too much. But if there's a general feeling that more time is needed we usually go with it. See what TRM says when he logs on.

Ah that's okay Cheers Rawls I had a list of films I was going to watch before writing up the list but I might just watch a whole bunch of shorts and a couple of features to round out the list.

I only need to watch 2 more films or shorts to be able to compile a list of 25 which is pretty good going considering I could only have made a list of about 5 or 6 at the start of the year.

Basically this. I think we are reaching a point where it might be more useful to get the list up with recommendations for people to view than pushing deadlines back further.

Just a reminder that the deadline for this is tomorrow. If anyone needs an extra few days let us know.

I won't be able to get a list in, I've not seen enough films .

Looking forward to the final list anyway, I need some recommendations!

I'll be sending a list of 50 either tonight or early tomorrow morning if that's ok.

That would be great. I just checked the email because I thought that might make you the first one to vote, but we already have a list from Siegfried.

Around 20, so even if I did watch a couple of shorts I don't consider myself schooled enough in the period to make a fair list.

Just sent a list of 30. Take off the last 5 if you need to. It's a very predictable list

It is odd when you go back to sound films after quite a few silents.

Would it be OK to submit my list by Tuesday, please? It may be before then as it's mainly a matter of ordering - I think I've got the final bulk of films. It's just I've already spent more time doing that this afternoon than work than possibly I should have done!

I apologise, I’ve completely ignored this entire thing and I don’t have what I believe is a substantial enough list. Unless you’d like my pitiable Top 10/15 I’ll have to step out and then just bitch when Underworld isn’t high enough.

Don't you dare!!! Just make something up and stick Underworld and The Wind at the top!

My initial list of 25 has no Chaplin, no Keaton and no Lloyd.

Well then - you've got 100 easy

I'm doing this bit by bit. I've ordered my Lloyd, my Chaplin, my Murnau, my Lubitsch, my L&H, my Keaton (I've had such a good time watching these the last few weeks that my love of Lloyd above all is getting a little wavery!) my Von sternbergs, my Russians etc etc.

I just need to try and fit them in the one list now.

Yeah, a short list is better than no list at all. I'm still working through mine, trying to cut it down from about 150 to 100 now.

List sent. I've just removed about 4 duplicates, so hope I've caught them all. I got a bit muddled at the list stage

I did warn you

I would have liked to have watched more Lloyd and Chaplin as well as a few more features but time got the better of me.

We need a thread with the deadlines for all the lists on the go, although with the deadline for this one being on my birthday I should have remembered anyway .

I had a list and then realised I had a number of specific scraps relating to the 1920’s and earlier and took a couple of hours rearranging everything. I’m not totally happy with it though I like the Top 50 or so but then it gets hazy.
