Agreed. The scene where Speirs runs back and forth through the German lines is pretty much the greatest scene in TV history as far as I'm concerned.

Man I loved this show. Every episode was amazing. I find it hard to choose between this and Generation Kill, I love both but for different reasons.

Watching this again now, it's really cool spotting so many well known faces who I'd missed before.

When I watched it again in 2009 I spotted Michael Fassbender, and now it's Andrew Scott (Jim Moriarty from Sherlock) and James McAvoy.

No idea how I kept missing McAvoy before

I think everytime I watch Band Of Brothers I spot another well-known face. When I last watched it I noticed that Lt. Meehan is Jason O'Mara from Terra Nova.

I just noticed that too! He's now in Vegas with Dennis Quaid and I knew I knew him from somewhere other than Terra Nova and Life on Mars US.

On a rewatch with this.

Sadly, Edward "Babe" Heffron passed away in early December.

Have been reading the retrospective reviews on Den of Geek and they've put me in the mood for a rewatch.

On a sad note another of Easy Company's finest has left us. "Wild" Bill Guarnere passed away yesterday.

Sad news. He had a fair old innings though considering what he'd been through!

Jeez I haven't seen this in about 10 years. Things that a struck me are how visually interesting it is for a TV series, but also how good it still is. I presume they filmed in the UK looking at faces which appear in it?
