Throw this thread in the bin. We already have a great discussion for Prometheus going on at the top of this page... itís been there for quite some time

Unfortunately Pete, the rules do say:

quote:

Duplicate Threads or Posting Threads in the Wrong Forum

Before starting a new thread, you should always use the search function to ensure that the subject has not already been raised.  If there is an existing thread (and it doesn't matter how old it is!) post in it rather than start a new one.  Duplicate threads will be locked by the moderators.  Where two or more threads are started simultaneously, only the first thread opened will be allowed to remain.  Any thread started in the wrong forum will be moved to the appropriate forum.  In both these matters the moderators' decision is final.

In the Special Forums, threads started by 'Empire Admin' will get precedence in the case where duplicate threads occur.  This is because they contain links to the main part of the site.

Link

I don't see why those posts can't be merged!

Does this mean the existing one getís shut down? Seems a shame if so, as weíve been discussing this at length in there for what feels like an age now.

I don't know mate. I would've thought that they'd simply import the posts from the other thread to this one, a thread merge. Seems reasonable. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair to guys like you who have kept the topic open with information, news, developments etc.

I only posted a comment on the bottom of the main Prometheus info page, i had no idea there was a thread already running in the Forum. If this site wasn't so ass-backwards you wouldn't have this problem, keep the page comments and forum seperate, or do away with the comments and just link to the forum!

I don't think they normally shut the previous thread.  So this thread can eat it.

Nah - usually the fan based ones stay open - the Dark Knight Future Film page was massive.

I saw Ridley Scott's Alien and it was really boring but I think Prometheus is going to be awsome.

You know, instead of swearing at the guy, we could just ask him why he was bored.

Lets not chase off new people three posts in. And I am always curious to hear different viewpoints.

Swearing at the guy is totally out of order.

Are you guys arguing because one of you didn't like Alien leave the guy who didn't like it alone- its the only one in the series I've seen other than AVP but that doesnt really count anyway give the guy a break- killer aliens isn't everyones cup of tea.
Do you think Prometheus looks good? Discuss that with me if you want.

It looks pretty good from the trailer I wouldn't call myself a super fan of the series AVP disappointed me and despite not being perfect it was better than the diar AVP 2, I've seen the first alien movie atleast though and all of the predators but I think with Prometheus the ship goes through a black hole leading to a future reality where the crew from alien has already landed on the planet and left so on and so forth and have been worshipped as gods ever since their departure- human stone head etc. and the aliens have been rendered extinct because of the bacterial virus which infects and creates mutant scary things which kill of this new crew consisting of Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba etc. I cant help shaking the feeling Idris Elba might kill himself and the ship too destroy the new ship from the trailer from escaping- the explosion in the trailer explained and the remaining crew head too the big u shaped spaceship where Theron tries too abandon them because she is an evil android and Noomi fights her off, and her the ginger guy and possibly david get away- either that or every one in the film dies horribly- probably the second one is true- if this isn't true then maybe its just a virus alien thing killing off astronauts and leaving us bored as shit by the ending. I'm either taling nonsense or this is making sense.

Some degree of nonsense I think.
Agree that probably everyone dies (horribly or otherwise).
The black hole thing - I'm not convinced.

It is nonsene your correct but I think were both correct in assuming that everyone dies a horrific painful and probably drawn out death, also do you think that Charlize Theron is an android? Or just a super bitch? David seems a bit too curious for his own good being this curious in a film like Prometheus doesn't seem like the best idea if you want to survive the films inevitably brutal proceedings.
