Yeah, I mean there's no group decision, but I think it's part of the campaigning and the general feeling. Melissa Leo - been around a long time, often slugging away in character parts, finally broke through into the big time, had a lot of buzz and missed out. Now here she is in a film that's not only got her another nom, but it's a best picture/director nominee, which means a lot more people will see it, she's playing a real person, and there's a tragic real-life story mixed in with the underdog winning the day. Will Hathaway win this year? Depends on the reception for the performance. It's weird, some people just pick up that buzz that they've become due a win, others just get seen as lucky to be nominated. Take Eddie Murphy, he was the frontrunner going into the Oscars, yet you never hear talk of him being due a win now.
