Adrian "Comfy Fence" Chiles: "We just can't tell if it was over the line or not"

The presence of Chiles makes me want to stop liking football and turn to another sport completely. Waste of space so he is.

Should be a good Final none the less.
I think had Spurs gone through then Liverpool would have been favourites in my view.
I think this final is now more evenually matched.

I'd rather have Chelsea actually. Spurs seem to have our number and we seem to have Chelsea's recently. Whilst Spurs can be disorganised and can choke, their pace at times is worrying and could have hurt us.

Liverpool should be good favourites now that Phil Dowd has been announced as ref

Stupid 5:15 kick off. I put the TV on just before half past to see I'd missed the first goal.

Turning up late is better than watching Adrian Chiles and company talking absoloute shit for 2 hours though!

Anyway, Liverpools midfield has been really poor so far, theres no spark and Stuart Downing is playing. Suarez is the most creative player in the team but he's isolated up front not getting involved and Stuart Downing is playing.

And I've found out that my sis-in-law has booked us out for dinner mid-way thru the champs league final. Changing kick off times / days, do I not like that.

That's exactly why I didn't stick it on earlier. Not helping that the FA Cup final is looking a tenth as entertaining as Arsenal vs Norwich

A very patchy first half from both teams.
Though I think Chelsea deserve the lead and are playing more progresive, positive football Liverpool do seem to be coming into it abit more, especially down the left hand side.

Not been a classic though, which is a shame.

Well done Chelsea! You could say over the full 90+ mins that Chelsea deserved the win. Liverpool only came alive in the last 25 mins or so after the Carroll goal.

As for the 'goal', it wasn't over the line, at least not all of it.

He was really good after coming on, and his goal changed the dynamic of the game.

He was a monster today, he has been improving in the last few weeks particularly though I felt he had his best game today in a red shirt; was truly the first time since his move he looked like the player he was at Newcastle. If he continues performances like that, then the 35M will look more justified.

Classic left-back goal(?). Swansea have collapsed entirely after the goal, so it was kind of inevitable.

Unfortunately Arsenal completely collapsed after the goal as well, so that was inevitable too.

Was in a pub a while ago that had a dodgy feed from Al-Jazeera and they basically had the MOTD team on it...Lineker topping up his licence fee millions

Pretty pleaed to get through to the next round, even better it's against Huddersfield who have conceded 8 against us already this season.

About 1500 Burton Albion fans made the short trip. Whether they were expecting to dump us out of another cup after already beating us 4-2 in the Carling/Capital/Coca-Cola Cup I don't know, but it was never going to happen.

I love Round 3 weekend. I think the magic might be lost for a few Premeriship clubs, but it's not in the leagues below. The BA fans on Saturday were in good voice, despite going behind after 2 minutes and never really looking in the game. I was quite impressed with a little winger they had and some great lump of a centre froward (Calvin Zola) who had a nice touch and tried to cause us some trouble (although to be fair Wes Morgan was masterful yet again)

I saw an article yesterday regarding the declining attendances at FA Cup games. Leicester were down 36% themselves, with about 14,500 at the game instead of the usual 23+ (I think the bigegest drop in numbers was at the Charlton match - shame on you Goodfella - down 65% or something)
I don't think is a lack of interest in the FA Cup, I think the cost of football and the financial times we are in doens't help. I know guys at work who take their wives and 2 kids for what is pretty much a 100 day out. Just after Christmas doesn't help either. Thankfully, for season ticket holders, Leicester charged 10 on Saturday. I think they pre-empted the lack of interest anyway as they only opened 2 stands, although this added to the atmosphere as everyone was in together.

As for FA Cup upsets, I don't really think there were many at all. Luton beating Wolves was hardly an upset (Wolves being shit and lacking in confidence) and I really take offence when the press had a field day with Brighton beating Newcastle. Personally, I thought that was a home banker. A confident, hard-working Championship side beating an out-of-sorts (shit) Newcastle side. The Macc lads beating Cardiff (the Welsh side who shouldn't even be in the FA Cup) was probably the shock for me, but other than that, it was as-you-were for me.

What is Suarez meant to do.? The ball rebounds onto his arm and he taps it in. Ref and linesman should have stop play.

The ball doesn't respond onto Suarez hand though does it.Its actually extremely clear he places the ball into his footing-path.
The linesman and ref should have sorted it out mind, especially considering atleast 4 Mansfield players protested.

edit: The more you see it the more ridiculous it gets because Suarez didn't really need to handball it.
All he had to do was run into its path and chest it down then wham-bam-thank-you-mam place it into the net.
