Crazy times really. The Liverpool V Everton really should be played at Old Trafford on Saturday and then Chelsea game could play on the Saturday late evening at Wembley.

Just shows the FA don't care about fans and it's all about the money.

Liverpool fans have known they'll be at Wembley for some time so I'm sure plenty have booked trains and how many would've predicted having to get the 7.30am train? Not many I'd have thought

Assuming Chelsea go through against Benfica, we could've done with the extra day much like Barca or Milan will inevitably get

Well going on the Liverpool forum I visit, loads have been saying it would be 12.45pm kick off for the past few days because last year when it was 5.30pm Semi final between the two Manchester clubs loads of fans missed the last train back and had to sleep on the floor at Euston and the BTP complained to the FA about it. Think they're making sure it don't happen this time.

Anyone know who is showing what?

Is ITV showing the derby or are ESPN?

It does make a bit of sense. Liverpool refuse to play on the Sunday and Chelsea's idea of playing the semi-final on a Friday was ridiculous.

I know Spurs started it but semi-finals at Wembley should stop. Spurs v Chelsea should be at Emirates and Liverpool v Everton should be at Old Trafford.

There's no chance the police would have said yes to that.

It's no more ridiculous than playing at 6pm on Sunday...when has there ever been a game played of this magnitude at that time? Why is it ridiculous on a Friday?

The semi's will always be at Wembley because of how they sold the boxes and 10 year tickets where you are guaranteed to get tickets for the semi-finals...I don't agree with them at Wembley but that's how it is.

EDIT: FAO HughesRoss Liverpool v Everton is ESPN and Chelsea v Spurs is ITV

Am I right in thinking that a fair few years ago, the semi's used to be played at a neutral club ground?

Ah, them were the days. Never agreed with the semis being played at Wembley myself, though one such cup-tie did give me the glorious memory of Rob Lee scoring at our national ground, a euphoria-inducing high coming not long after back-to-back finals where we failed to trouble the opposition keepers and were roundly outplayed on both occasions. Shame Chelsea went on to undeservedly win the game but that's a seperate, not-so-glorious story.

They always used to be played at neutral ground, which is why Liverpool were playing at Hillsborogh. Villa Park or Old Trafford were the other favourites.

The first teams to play at Wembley were Spurs vs Arsenal in 91. At the time it just made more sense than transporting all of North London to a large ground up north when Stamford Bridge and Upton Park were too small.

Yeah it always used to be Hillsborough and Villa Park didn't it?

Why? We've played semi finals at Old Trafford before.

So far Everton have been ordinary and Liverpool have been awful. Be interesting to see if Suarez manages to get someone sent off.

I think that's the fairest summary. Everton haven't done much but Liverpool have been worse.

Terrible miss there by Carroll.

Suddenly changed gear in the 2nd half to a cup tie feel. 2 goals from 2 big mistakes.

Liverpool defense all over the place and look vulnerable whenever Everton get at them. Trouble is Everton not good enough to get at them enough.

Think subbing Bellamy on would tie this up for Liverpool now. Both managers need to make a move.

Given the space on the wings Bellamy could be vital.

Liverpool had a bad plan that was their undoing for the Everton goal. Everton had no plan, which was their undoing.

Well done to Liverpool they kept at it and the win was deserved, but a poor semi-final really.

It's second half performances like that which show why Moyes will never be given the chance at a bigger club. Toothless.

How can there be so many empty seats? And according to reports, didn't even manage to keep the minute's silence then.

Even start from the two teams. I think Chelsea will just have too much physicality for Spurs, but truth be known, I'd rather Spurs reach the final. They might have struggled over the last couple of months, but have played some nice football this season.

The booing was disgraceful and the ref blew up before the minute was up. Apparently it came from some Chelsea fans. I cannot for the life of me understand why fans would boo the memory of other fans dying as well as a young footballer dying on the pitch.

I would like to give a special shout out to the fucking moron who decided the appropriate response to being asked to keep you fat gob shut for 60 seconds to remember the deaths of 97 people was to shout "Wankers". You stay classy

Chelsea are so slow compared to Spurs. That's why I'd much rather play Chelsea than Spurs in the final.

That's what makes Drogba a top top player. Uses his strength to hold the defender off and get the yard of space he needs, then boom powerful and confident finish. Spurs have a goal in them, but can they find it?

Not even close.

Does this mean that Chelsea fans will finally shut the fuck up about Luis Garcia?
